Chamagadda pulusu/Taro root

Feeling bore of routine sambar,dal........then try this tangy-Juice pulusu,Chamagadda(Taro root)is rich in fibre and carbohydrate,check out this



Ingredients:

1/2kg - Chamagadda
1 large -Tomato
1 small - Onion
1 Tbsp - Jaggery
Pinch - Turmeric
2 Tbsp - Besan
Chilli powder
Salt to taste
Lemon size Tamarind

Seasoning:
Oil
Mustard seeds
Dhaniya
Jeere
Curry leaves

Method:

Boil the roots for 15 min.......but make a note done over boil as these roots gets sticy ,once over peel the skin and keep it aside

Soak the tamarind in water and make juice out of it by seprating pulp

Now take a pan add oil,mustards,jeera,dhaniya and curry leaves......once mustards start popping add chopped onions and tomatos

Once onions turns to golden colour add picnch of turmeric,jaggery, tamarind juice and taro roots and add 2 cups of water and let it boil for 10 mins

Finally to thicken add 2 tbsp of besan with quarter cup of water,thats all....
Enjoy the tangy pulusu with hot rice with ghee are with chapathi
