Drumstick Sambar



Ingredients:

1 cup - toor dal
3 - drumsticks (cut into length wise)
1 large - onion
1 Small - tomato.
2 tsp - tamarind juice
1 1/2 - Sambar Powder( Home made are from shop,i prefer home made)
1 - spring curry leaves
Salt
Tuermeric powder pinch
cilentro
Jaggery grated - 1 tbsp
Chille powder

For Seasoning:

2 tsp. oil
Mustrads seeds
Hing
Urad dal & chana dal
2 Redchilles

Method:

Cook toor dal in a pressure cooker with adding sufficent water to cook and keep it aside.

Now in a bottemed pan add oil once oil heats add mustards,chana & urad dal,red chilles,hing and curry leaves.Once seeds starts popping add chopped onion and tomatos.let it fry for 5 min.

Then add chopped drumstick,tamarind paste and 1cup water,bring to boil till drumstick soften.

Now add cooked tood dal,sambar powder,tuermeric powder,red chille powder,jaggery and salt.let it cook for 10 mins on medium flame.

Finally add fresh cilentro,Thats all tastes yummy with rice.
