Bajji Mirapakaya kura/ Green chilli pepper curry



Hi, I am back after holidays with wonderful tasty,tangy and spicy recipe.I tasted this curry nearly 5 years back,surprisingly when i was watching T.v suddenly i saw this recipe in one program that's all........I did it here you go.

Ingredients:

For powder:


Mustards - 1 tbsp
Grated coconut - 2 Tbsp
coriander seeds - 1 Tbsp
Sesame seeds - 1 Tbsp
Ground nut - 1/4 Cup

In a pan add Tbsp Oil and fry all the above ingredients(Till aroma leaves out,dont over fry)blend it to smooth powder and keep it aside.



Chilli Peppers - 4
Onion - 1 (Large)
Tamarind Pulp - 1/2 Cup
Jaggery grated - 2 Tbsp
Turmeric - 1 Tbsp
Chilli powder
Dhaniya powder - 1 Tbsp
Salt



For Seasoning:

Oil - 2 Tbsp
Mustards - 1 Tbsp
Methi seeds - 1 Tbsp

Slit the chillies into 2 Halfs remove the seeds if you want and keep it aside.

Now in a deep pan add oil once oil heats add mustards & methi seeds,when mustards starts spluttering add chopped onion,fry them till they turn to golden colour.

Then add Tamarind pulp,turmeric,jaggery,chilli powder,dhaniya powder,salt and quarter cup water and finally slitted chilli peppers stir it once and close with lid and let it cook for 15 mins.

Finally sprinkle the above blend powder and just cook it for 5 min.That's all.....Goes very very good with chapati

YUM! I will try this recipe. I made Mirchi Salan at Foodie's hope blog, it was SOOOO HOT with Banana peppers but yummy!:D
