Coconut rice/ Kobbari Annam



'Happy Pongal' to all the viewers of my blog.As today is Aspicious day,I prepared coconut rice.Usually we can make 2 varities of rice with coconut,once with spices and another without spices.Check this varitey.

Rice - 1 cup
Raw coconut - 1/2 cup(grated)
Green chillies - 2 r 3
Red chillies - 3 r 4
Urad dal - 1 Tbsp
Chana dal - 1 Tbsp
Mustards - 1 Tbsp
Roasted Peanutsv - 3 Tbsp
Roasted Cashew - 3 Tbsp
Cuury leaves
Cilentro(Optional)
Salt
Oil - 2 Tbsp

Method:

Wash and cook the rice for 3 whistle and keep it aside.

Heat oil in a heavy bottemed saucepan.Add mustards,urad dal,chana dal,peanuts,cashews,curry leaves,slited green chillies and red chillies,stir till spluttering.

Now first add cooked rice then add grated coconut stir it throughly,so that rice will be coated with the coconut and seasoning.

Finally add salt according to your taste,mix it properly.Thats all....
