Atukula upma or Poha upma is very easy to make and not time consuming at all.Its very easy than Rava Upam.We can get it ready around 15 Min's.Here is my way of preparing Poha.
Ingredients:
2 cups - Atukulu/Rice flakes
1 large - Onion(finely chopped)
4 -5 - Cheery Tomato's (Its your choice here i used cherry tomato.)
3 Tbsp - Peanuts(Roasted)
1 tsp - Urad dal
1 tsp - Channa dal
1 tsp - Mustrad seeds
1 tsp - Cumin seeds/Jeera
1 tsp - Turmeric powder
4 green - chillies (finely chopped)
1 sprig - Curry leaves
2 Tbsp - Oil
2 Tbsp- Lime juice
Salt to taste
Procedure:
Wash the atukulu and let it soak in water for 5 Min's.(Dont over soak 5mins was enough to soften them.)
Mean while chop the onions and Tomato.
Now take the atukulu and squeeze the water out of them.
Heat oil in the wide pan and add mustard and cumins seeds, once the mustard seeds start spluttering add the urad dal and channa dal. As they turn a slight red color add the curry leaves,now add peanuts,chopped onions,tomatoa and slited green chilles and sprinkle pinch of turmeric.let it fry till onions turns golden colour
Now add Soaked Atukulu mix it properly and close with lid let it fry for 2 to 3 mins,then add Salt according to your taste......That's all
