My mother says Garlic contains medicinal values.But me and my father dont like the smell of garlic.But some how now i like it,so i called my mom and i asked about this Podi.Tastes spicy and really Yammy......Check this.
Ingredients:
Dry grated Coconut - 1 cup
Tamarind Just little
Garlic Pods - 4 r 5
Red chille - 5 r 6
Salt
For Seasoning:
Oil
Urad dal - 1 Tbsp
Chana dal - 1 Tbsp
Method:
On medium flame roast coconut and red chillies.
Once it cools,grind roasted coconut along with garlic,redchiilies and tamarind without adding water .
Now in a pan add tbsp oil,once oil heats add urad,chana dal,let it fry till turns to golden colour,dont over fry.(This gives real taste).
Now pour this into the mixture and grind it again just 2 sec.The crunchy fried urad and chana dal gives additional taste.
Goes very very good with rice by adding ghee on it...
