This is my faviourt varity,it tasty really delicious.The specility of this recipies is no stuffing.Check this
8 r 10 - Brinjals
Onion - 1 large r medium
Tamarind Pulp - 1/2 cup
Jaggery - 2 Tbsp(Grated)
Dhaniya powder - 1 Tbsp
Chilli powder
Salt
For Powder:
Mustards - 1/2 Tbsp
Fungreek seeds - 1/ 2 Tbsp
Sesem seeds - 1 Tbsp
Peanuts - 1/2 cup
First fry mustards,fungreek,sesams,peanuts and grind without adding water,make fine powder and keep it aside.
For seasoning:
mustards - 1 Tbsp
Sesams - 1 Tbsp
Oil
Method:
In a frying pan take oil and heat,once oil heats add mustards,sesame and fry it till spluttering.
Now add chopped onions,let it fry till onions turns to golden brown colour,then add tamarind pulp.
Wash and dry the brinjals.Now take each brinjal and on the opposite of stem, make a plus shape ,towards stem side.Now place this brinjal into the tamarind sauce,add half cup water.
Then add jaggery,chilli powder,dhaniya powder,roasted powder,chopped cilentro and salt.Close with lid and let it cook till aroma leaves out lets say about 15 mins.Thats all..........enjoy the tasty spicy,tangy Guttivankaya with Roti are Rice.
