I never tasted Broccoli when i was in India.once after coming to Canada,every where broccoli.Initially I don't like the taste and smell,but what to do my husband likes Brocolli,so i was forced to cook at home,Then one day i thought of preparing Allo Gobi,That time instead of Gobi i added Broccoli,now broccoli is one of favourite Vegetable.Check this
Potatos - 2
Broccoli Florets - 1 Cup
Onion - 1 Medium
Tomato - 1 Small( I used 4 to 5 cherry Tomatos)
Turmeric pinch
Green chilles -4 r 5
Red chilli powder - 1/2 Tbsp(Optional)
For tempering:
Oil
Mustards
Urad & chana dal each - 1 Tbsp
Method:
Wash and drain the potatos,then peel the skin and chopp them into small cubes.
Now in a frying pan add oil,once oil heats add mustards,urad & chana dal.Once seeds starts popping add chopped onions and Tomatos.let it fry till onions turn to golden colour and Tomato become mushy.
Then add chopped green chilles,potatos,tuermeric and quarter cup water,close with lid let it cook till Potatos soften.Finally add Broccoli,Red chille powder and salt.Let it cook for 5 Mints(Don't over cook the curry once adding broccoli,as it gives pungent smell).Thats all,good with Roti are Rice.
