Ever wondered,what is the Secret behind the taste of south Indian recipes? its all because of Kura Podi or Curry Powder.Easy to make and ready to use,which gives nice aroma and very delicious taste to the curry.The curry powder which i am posting now can atleast lost for 5 to 6 months without loosing the aroma.Try this.
1/2 cup - Chana dal / Senagapappu
1/2 Cup - Toor dal / Kanidhipappu
1/2 Cup - Urad dal / Uddi pappu
1 Cup - Dhaniya / Coriander seeds
1/2 Cup - Dry Red chilles
1 Tbsp - Jeera
1 Tbsp - Fungreek Seed / Menthulu
Dry roast the all above ingredients separately on medium flame till the aroma leaves,for this roasted grains add
1 Tbsp - Poppy seeds / Gasagasalu
1 Tbsp - Turmeric
4 r 5 Cloves
3 Cardmoms
Let it cool.Then transfer all spices into a Grinder are food processor and blend it to smooth powder.Store it in a airtight container.
