Kandhi pachadi/ Toor dal chutney


This is one of the most famous traditional chutney among south indian iyengar.It may variey from home to home.Check my way of preparition.

Ingredients:

Toor dal - 1cup
Red chillies - 4 to 5
Salt
Tamarind pulp - 1tsp
Oil - 2tsp
Cumin seeds - 1tsp
Mustard seeds - 1tsp



Method:

Dry roast toor dal and red chilles in a pan till turns to golden brown colour.

Now grind roasted toor dal and red chilles along with salt and tamarind pulp by adding little water into a coarse batter.

Now heat oil in pan once oil heats add mustards and jeera,once sseds start spluttering pour this into the batter and stir it .Thats all.Taste yummy with Ghee rice.
